Cars That Leave More To Be Desired
It doesn't matter how nice a car looks on the outside, if it's hard to see out from the inside, you're in for a world of trouble when it comes to parking, backing up, merging, or simply watching for pedestrians. Yes, driving a stylish car brings a lot of perks, but do you really want to deal with such stressful driving experiences every time? Here are 20 cars with some of the worst visibility to be wary of.
1. Chevrolet Camaro
The Chevrolet Camaro is known for having plenty of personality, but if there's one thing that's certainly not charming about this car, it's its visibility. Its low roof, small side glass, and narrow rear window can make the cabin feel more closed in than you might expect.
2. Lamborghini Countach
The Lamborghini Countach looks dramatic from every angle on the outside, but on the inside, you'll be wondering why it's so hard to see. Rear visibility is extremely limited, and the car’s shape makes judging what’s behind you a real challenge.
3. Lamborghini Murcielago
Again, Lamborghinis definitely give off class and style, and while the Mucielago keeps the supercar flair going, it doesn't make everyday sightlines an easier. The low seating position, broad rear haunches, and small rear glass create a view that’s barely visible.
4. Dodge Challenger
The Dodge Challenger has a bold shape that suits its muscle-car personality, but that same shape is what limits what you see around you. The long hood makes the front corners feel distant, while the thick rear pillars complicates quick shoulder checks. It’s a car with presence, but you’ll probably rely on the backup camera more than you’d like.
5. Ford Mustang Coupe
With far too many visibility compromises, the Ford Mustang Coupe might be slightly easier to see out of than others on this list, but not by much. The rear quarter view feels pinched, and the sloping roofline doesn’t help the back window. It's definitely take time getting used to.

6. Toyota C-HR
The Toyota C-HR has a modern design choice that many drivers appreciate, but it comes with a noticeable rear visibility trade-off. Its small back windows and chunky rear pillars make the area behind the driver feel more hidden than ideal, which can make backing up seem like a challenge.
7. Nissan 370Z
The Nissan 370Z's pros are that it's compact and sporty, but a major con is that its cabin view isn’t especially generous. The rear window is small, the roofline is low, and the thick rear sections can make the car feel tucked in around you. You're going to have to pay special attention when you back up or change lines.
8. Porsche Taycan
You might feel like you've won the lottery owning a Porsche, but not everything about the Taycan is as impressive as it reads on paper. For one, its visibility certainly doesn't match its polish! The windshield and rear glass are shaped by the car’s low, flowing design, which reduces its overall sense of openness.

9. Honda Clarity
It's funny, the Honda Clarity gives you many practical perks but clarity itself. Its rear design and body shape don’t offer the clearest look behind the car, which can be a little frustrating because you expect an efficient sedan to make daily driving feel simple rather than fussy.
10. Buick Encore
As it turns out, size doesn't always tell the entire story of a car. Take the Buick Encore for example; it's small enough that it seems like it should be easy to see out of, but the thick pillars and a small rear window can limit the driver’s view, especially when checking behind the vehicle.
11. Honda CR-Z
The Honda CR-Z has a distinctive hatchback shape, but that's exactly what causes its rearward view to be one of its weak spots. The split rear window breaks up the sightline, while the compact rear opening doesn’t give you a broad view of surrounding traffic. Visibility is definitely not this model's strong suit.
12. Infiniti QX70
Sporty doesn't mean amazing, and unfortunately for the Infiniti QX70, that's how one of its greatest weaknesses gets revealed. The car's long hood and shorter side windows makes the vehicle feel larger and harder to place than expected, making overall visibility lower than it should be.
13. Jeep Wrangler
You'd expect the Jeep Wrangler to offer fantastic visibility given the roof and doors can be removed, but in terms of everyday driving, that's a different story. With the roof, doors, spare tire, and upright structure in place, some front and rear views become way more restricted than you'd think.
14. Chevrolet Suburban
The Chevrolet Suburban gives you flexibility with its seating position, but its sheer size and high front end create visibility challenges nonetheless. The hood stretches far ahead, and close objects in front of the vehicle can be hard to judge.
15. Ford F-150
Useful, popular, and capable are all words people use to describe the Ford F-150, but poor visibility is another one that can't be ignored. Its forward blind zone is a serious concern, and while sitting high can make you feel confident, the hood and front corners can hide what’s close to the truck.
16. Honda CR-V
The Honda CR-V is usually thought of as friendly and practical, but that's why its decline in visibility has been noticed more by drivers. Newer generations have grown taller and more substantial, and that affected the close-range forward view.
17. Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe
The sloping roofline of the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe definitely looks stylish, but looks can't compete with practicality, especially when it makes the rear visibility so much worse. The coupe-like shape narrows the rear glass area and limits the view out of the back, which can be dangerous when not careful.

18. Nissan Micra
The Nissan Micra is a small car, but that shouldn't mean compromising on visibility. Plenty of smaller cars don't have this problem, so there's no excuse as to why this model struggles. Sadly, its thick rear pillars and restricted rear view make it less simple to maneuver than its size suggests.
19. Renault Megane
Though the Renault Megane has modern hatchbach styling that helps it look more fancy and distinct, the rear view suffers for it. The rear window is narrow, and rear-seat headrests further block what little glass there is. At the end of the day, it's just not an ideal car for everyday driving.
20. Smart EQ Fortwo
You'd probably expect a car as tiny as the Smart EQ Fortwo to be easy to see out of, but surprise surprise, this model has rear view issues. Many drivers have commented on the visibility leaving so much more to be desired, which is incredibly disappointing when you buy a small city car that should be focused on it.
