10 Cars That Are Too Tacky & 10 That Are Actually Cool

10 Cars That Are Too Tacky & 10 That Are Actually Cool

Flashy Vs. Cool–– Where Do We Draw The Line?

Just because it's a luxury car doesn't mean it's cool. From elaborate modifications to ridiculous features, some vehicles are just calling for attention. While certain car decals and brands will split a room, we can't help but judge some automobile choices. You can find out where you stand with our tacky and cool list of vehicles.

1. Cars With Glitter

Glitter and sequence are fabulous for party-wear but not for your car. Maybe Barbie can get away with it but sparkly paint is just attention-seeking nonsense. Plus–– you'll blind other drivers on the road when the sun shines. You can have a pretty car without the glitter.

2. Ferrari LaFerrari

Does adding a posh sounding "La" in front of "Ferarri" make it fancy? Ferrari has pumped out some cool cars but this model is la tacky. Unless you're a superhero, it's a bit much to drive around the neighborhood.

3. McLaren P1

It looks angry. This McLaren is a bully on the street. It should be driven in professional car races and not for cruising on the highway. Are the wing doors necessary? This impractical sports car is asking for attention but whether you receive a thumbs up or an eye roll is up to your audience.

4. Any Lime Green Car

There is no reason to paint a car neon lime green other then to scream at everyone to look at it. It's unlikely folks with a bright green or yellow car chose those colors for safety reasons. Unless you thought it would act like a safety vest when you're driving in the dark, it's a flashy car and you know it.

5. Monster Wheel Pickup

Hey Wilderness Explorer, if you're off-roading on rough terrain or driving through rivers, we'll allow it. If you're driving on paved streets, the over-sized wheels are extremely unnecessary. A pickup truck doesn't need gigantic wheels to prove you're a tough guy.

6. Cars With LED Ground Effects

As long as they're behind the wheel, the driver of the vehicle can never see under their car therefore, the LED ground effects are clearly to show-off. Can the car actually hover like it's from a sci-fi movie? Underglow is a tacky and useless modification for any vehicle.

7. Oversized SUVs

Bigger isn't always better. These gas-guzzlers take up a lot of space and that ain't cool. They're often used to escort celebrities but why does their private transport need to be so big? The only exception is if you're picking up professional basketball players or you have a large family.

8. Cars With Headlight Lashes

Tell your car to stop winking at us! Look ladies, your auto is cuter without the long lashes. Pamper your human eyes and not your car headlights. It might've been an adorable accessory once upon a time but it's now been overdone and it's plain silly.

9. Ridiculously Loud Cars

Nothing is more irritating than an ear-piercing muffler. Adding a turbocharger or modifying your muffler to make it louder on purpose is the most obvious form of attention-seeking. Do you enjoy making everyone around you suffer from your roaring engine? Bro, blast some tunes instead.

10. Low-Riders

Low-riders look quite ridiculous and only cause hassle. Odds are you don't only drive straight down a perfectly smooth road. You won't make it very far without busting your car up but you'll turn heads when pedestrians hear you scrape the pavement, if that's what you want. This tacky feature is asking for scratches and damage.

3. Jeeps

Jeeps get their cool status from their adventurous look. When you look at a Jeep you get feelings of excitement and wonder. When the roof is open and the sides are down, you can't help but think of summers exploring the wilderness.

5. Red Mustang

If you own a Mustang convertible, you aren't horsing around. Mustang is a classic brand that has always been cool. Although any color goes, there's something special about a red one. There's a reason they're the most popular car for road trips down the Pacific coast.

6. Rolls Royce (Most)

As one of the most luxurious car brands indeed, a Rolls Royce is the creme de la creme of automobiles. If you have the funds to buy an expensive car, this is the brand that'll make you sought after instead of laughed at. Although some are flashier than others, all you need is the elegant logo to show your status, no need to go overboard.

7. Airstream

Airstream has been making the coolest RVs for a long time. With their signature silver vessel, Airstreams scream a good time. They're attractive and distinct without boasting but every camper around you wishes they had one. They're often repurposed into mobile shops because they're just that hip.

8. Wood Interior

Vehicles with wooden interiors give a warm, natural feel with a hint of sophistication. They brighten up the inside of a car and infuse you with good vibes. Like wood furniture in homes, many folks admire well-crafted wooden features in cars too.

9. Earthy Tones

You might get away with a flashy car design if it's in a soothing shade of taupe or a rusty brown. Cars painted in earthy tones give off cool vibes with their natural colors. Hues of dark green, shimmering copper, or matte grey are more unique without making a huge statement.

10. Classic Convertibles

You know you're cool if you drive a convertible! You look cool cruising down the road with your wind-swept hair as the top is down and the sun is your spotlight. A classic looking convertible is just showy enough without honking in everybody's face.
